Custom or Branded Smartphone or Note/Netbook Skins

posted 13 Feb 2012 15:16 by John Kiujian

Here's a quick mock up of an iPhone skin we made up yesterday.

Artwork creation to final application by AccuMark.  These can be made to suit laptop covers or anything else you can think of, with or without your corporate logo/branding.

We recommend professional fitting of these for corporate applications, as you can run into premature material failure issues if the surface is not correctly prepared or the film is applied inappropriately.

We have the capability to generate your customised artwork blended with photorealistic backgrounds.

QR Codes - What's all the fuss?

posted 11 Sep 2011 07:41 by John Kiujian

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_code

Read all about it on the above link - these codes can be read by just about any smartphone on the market today - that's around 40% of the mobile phone holder market (and rising).

You will notice more and more of these codes pop up all over the place.  In shop windows, in magazines, on business cards, basically anywhere there is a need to have an interface between print and your mobile device and the world wide web.

Amongst many other available actions, a QR code can have your audience jump to any specified URL you choose when scanned.  At first glance, you may only think "ok, so it saves my audience some time typing in the URL".  True.  That's only one plus.

Imagine having a geographic campaign running on a particular season, say the summer that's coming up.  You place a QR code on your print or signage to offer a discount, or to share information with your target, they scan it, and you have it link to a tagged URL.

This will take them to www.your_url.com ... so what?

So... the tagged URL is a sneaky way of measuring where that visit came from... from the summer 2011 OOH campaign on George St Sydney.

Definitely bring QR codes up with your marketing department if they haven't already got their hairy hands all over them in your next meeting.

All we need to create any signs or laser etched products with a QR code, is either the URL (in this case we can generate a QR code for you), or you can supply your own QR code in the form of an EPS file, or high res JPG.

Laser etched Perspex (Acrylic)

posted 8 Feb 2011 07:25 by John Kiujian   [ updated 4 Mar 2011 04:48 ]

We can supply and laser etch elegant presents, gifts and corporate awards with custom artwork as pictured above.  The above piece is 100mm x 70mm and because it's 15mm thick clear acrylic, it is self-standing.

A perfect gift on its own, or to compliment your special gift to someone special.

Acrylic may be cut to specific shapes and there are a variety of edge finishes available depending on budget.

When working with clear acrylic, we recommend etching from behind for a beautiful finish.  Acrylic can also be etched from the front and be paint filled if required.

Colour Calibration

posted 29 Jan 2011 09:53 by John Kiujian   [ updated 4 Feb 2011 05:12 ]

The Xrite i1 lets us calibrate our equipment so that we can maintain consistent colour output and colour matching.  Better results, better turn around times and more accurate repeat jobs.

Colour calibration isn't easy - there needs to be a colour profile made for each combination of material, resolution, and machine.  Each profile can take up to 2 hours to perfect.

We've invested in this workflow in order to achieve more consistency in colour and reproduction so that we can all reap the benefits of a colour managed workflow.

The Xrite i1 is a state of the art spectrophotometer coupled with software which ensures that what you see on your monitor is as close to what you get when you print.  It also ensures that when you enter a Pantone code into Adobe Illustrator, that your CMYK print will be the closest match possible.  An invaluable tool for both us and our customers.

Roland 64" / 1550mm wide format digital printing and cutting

posted 29 Jan 2011 06:53 by John Kiujian   [ updated 2 Feb 2011 14:09 ]

The latest 64" printing, cutting and lamination now available on our new Roland eco-solvent printer.

  • Wide format Print and Signs up to 1550mm wide!
  • Banners, Posters, Labels, Stickers - large and small
  • Custom contour cut Graphics, Decals and Stickers - ready to apply or with installation service
Print on Self Adhesive Vinyl (SAV), banners, paper, one way vision, frosted vinyl etc.  After printing, jobs can be computer cut via vector data on Adobe Illustrator and other vector based graphic software.

Make labels, stickers, decals, signs and window displays using white SAV or Reflective Class 2 SAV, laminated for extra UV protection and durability.  Print on perforated window film for signs on glass while maintaining light transmisstion.

Print on SAV, then laminate - we can then mount to durable outdoor composite aluminium panels and provide professional installation on your shop or business.  We can also mount to perspex and other rigid substrates.  If you prefer to arrange installation yourself, that's fine too - we do supply only as well.

Use this service not only for your signage requirements, but also for any small labels or stickers you need for your personal and business requirements.  With fast print speeds, and no knife tooling costs, our custom cut labels can compare with, and in some cases surpass offset printing prices.

Using UV stable inks on high grade monomeric, polymeric and cast vinyls, combined with the added UV protection of our laminates - we are confident that we can satisfy your needs.

Self Adhesive Blackboard Vinyl

posted 1 Dec 2010 02:55 by John Kiujian   [ updated 13 Aug 2011 03:29 ]

This self adhesive vinyl film can be computer cut to custom shapes.  Stick it to most surfaces, and use like a blackboard.

For best results, prime the material with a used duster, or rub a large piece of chalk on its side all over the surface and dust off before use.  This will prevent ghosting and other surface issues.  Once in use, use exactly like a blackboard.

3mm Plywood - Laser Etch/Cut

posted 22 Jun 2010 04:33 by John Kiujian

3mm Plywood, readily available from Swadlings in Rozelle can be laser cut/etched.  We recommend working in sheet sizes no larger than 2-300mm square, as this material tends to warp belly-up as it is lasered, which causes focusing issues.  This is a relatively cheap material to work with and cuts/etches well and is suited to a variety of uses.  Contact us for more information and quotes.
